Multiple quakes in Iran's Kerman province injure 18 people

Multiple strong earthquakes have hit Iran's southeastern province of Kerman injuring at least 18 people and damaging some 20 houses.

Early on Wednesday, a magnitude 6.0 quake, with the depth of 10 kilometers, hit villages of Hojedk and Ravar. Before that, late on Tuesday, a 5.9-magnitude quake hit the same region with a depth of 56 kilometers.

The incident comes less than a month after over 600 people were killed and thousands more injured in a devastating earthquake that hit western province of Kermanshah.
