France: Protesters rally against sale of refugees as slaves in Libya

Paris

Protesters marched through the streets of Paris on Saturday, in protest against reports of slavery in Libya.

People held banners reading "stop slavery in Libya in the 21st century," and marched through the center to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mano, one of the protesters, said he had not wanted to come to France. "It's not like we want to come to Europe. It's because Sarkozy went to destroy Libya."

The protest was triggered by the recent CNN report of its undercover journalists filming men being sold at auction in Libya.
