FIFA U-17 World Cup: Colombia ease past USA 3-1
At the Under-17 World Cup, USA have endured a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Colombia, who have now found themselves in the knockout stages.
The South American side went ahead in the 3rd minute, when Juan Vidal tapped the ball into the net from close-range following a goal-mouth scramble, but the Americans managed to equalize through George Acosta before the half hour mark.
The Colombians, however, re-took the lead after the interval, which was followed by team USA putting the game to bed in the 87th minute.
The Americans who now sit 3rd in the table, will face either group B winners Paraguay, or the winner of group C, which is likely to be Iran.
