Iran vanquishes Mongolia 11-0 in 2017 Asian-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship

The Iranian students' national futsal team has crushed Mongolia for the second emphatic victory at the 2017 Asian-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship in China.

Iranian footballers swept the Mongolian outfit 11-0 in a preliminary round match played at Lingwu Sports Stadium in the northwestern Chinese city of Lingwu.

The Iranian team had thrashed the Malaysian side 10-0 in its opening match.

The Iranian students’ national futsal team is scheduled to meet Kyrgyzstan in its last showdown in the preliminary round on Friday.

The 2017 Asian-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship started on September 18, and will wrap up on September 25.

Nine futsal teams from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Caledonia, Oman, Chinese Taipei and China are competing in the 8-day tournament.
