US President Donald Trump has used the United Nations, the "venue of peace making," to threaten other countries with aggression, says an author.

“He (Trump) really desecrated the General Assembly, his comments were vicious, he showed that he is nothing but a dangerous rogue leader,” Stephen Lendman told Press TV on Wednesday.

It is really disgraceful that the American president threatened war on North Korea and Iran during his speech at the UN, the author and journalist said.

America’s agenda is to get rid of the independent governments in North Korea, Iran and Venezuela to replace them with puppet regimes that Washington controls, he said.

Trump made his maiden speech before the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, addressing issues such as the Iran nuclear agreement. He also warned that the US would “totally destroy” North Korea if the country threatened the United States or its allies.
