CIA weapons flowing into Syria

The war in Syria has come to be known as one of the most outstanding examples of chaos created by the destructive policies of the United States and its allies. Since the very beginning of the conflict in 2001, the United States started providing weapons and cash to militant factions fighting the Syrian government. America used the term “moderate rebels” to describe such groups fighting Syrian armed forces. But later during the conflict, many of these groups and their members turned into extremist forces whose atrocities shocked the world. There have even been reports of direct US weapons transfers to terrorist groups such as Daesh. But after years of bloody war, US war plans failed to force out the government of Syrian President Bashar al Assad. Back in July, the administration of US president Donald Trump announced the end of CIA program to arm anti-Assad forces. However, new reports show America is still funneling massive amounts of arms into Syria and has used its massive air base in Germany to carry weapons into the war torn country.

US national debt hits $20tr. mark

The U.S. national debt has for the first time in history hit 20 trillion dollars. This, after Us President Donald Trump signed a bipartisan bill to temporarily raise the nation's debt limit for another three months. Of the debt, the US Treasury Department said, over 14 trillion dollars is held by the public, while more than 5 trillion dollars is held by various parts of the government. Some in the US claim that American will never go bankrupt as US citizens live in a so-called fiat currency system, where the country’s government can create an infinite number of dollars at no cost to meet its obligations.
