Plight of Rohignya: Women, children account for 80% of refugees

Around 412,000 Rohingya Muslims have so far fled Myanmar army’s military campaign to Bangladesh. According to reports, women and children account for 80% of the refugees. This number includes 240,000 kids and 70,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women. The military crackdown in Rakhine State has been branded by the international community as ethnic cleansing.
