Barcelona have maintained their impressive start to the new La Liga season after fighting hard to come from behind and claim a 2-1 victory over Getafe.

The hosts dominated the first half on Saturday, and a thunderbolt from Japanese striker Gaku Shibasaki saw them take the lead in the 39th minute. But, shortly after the hour mark, substitute Denis Suarez got the leveler for the Catalans, curling a right-footer into the top left corner.

Once again it was left to Leo Messi to come-up with some magic with six minutes left to play and the Argentine picked-out Paulinho just outside the box and the Brazilian netted both the winner and his first Barcelona goal.

The result gave manager Ernesto Valverde's side a seven-point lead at the top of the table with four wins out of four matches this season.
