Davis Cup: France, Serbia level at 1-1 on day one
A look at Tennis, where France and Serbia have ended the 1st day of their Davis Cup Semifinal level at 1-all in Lille.
With the absence of Novak Djokovic, Viktor Troitski and Yanko Tipsarevich, the French were expected to enjoy a calm weekend in the northern city of Lille.
But Dusan Lajovic made the most of Luca Pouille's inconsistent display to give Serbia a 1-love lead. Lajovic made a strong start and capitalized on Pouille's mistakes to prevail 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 and 7-6 again.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who played for the 1st time in the French Davis Cup team, managed to beat Laslo Jereh in straight sets.
