Divisions become more apparent in US

White nationalists and neo-Nazis clash with counter-protesters in Charlottesville

Divide within the United States of America was nothing new before Donald Trump’s presidency but it’s fair to say that it has never been as vivid as the recent years.

Take Charlottesville attack by a neo-Nazi sympathizer or Michael Brown’s death in the hands of a white police officer, hatred has been peaking and the victims are as always the black people, Muslims, women and the rest of those marginalized in today’s America.

Deep-rooted racist inclinations surface every now and then and are embodied in videos and images that could shock the nation or at times the whole world. But what do the victims want? Can the two powerful parties in the US political system represent all the voices? Obviously not.

In this episode of ‘We the People’, we delve into the ever growing rift lurking within the US. Is there an end in sight? As it appears, divisions are becoming more apparent.
