MotoGP: Marc Marquez wins San Marino Grand Prix

Spain’s Marc Marquez has showed a tremendous performance in Italy as he took the lead on the last lap to win in a soaking San Marino Grand Prix for Repsol Honda.

Now he is level on points in the MotoGP standings with Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso.

The Spaniard, who started from 3rd on the grid, snatched the lead from Italy's Ducati Rider Danilo Petroochi in the final lap to finish first with a time of 50 minutes and 41.565 seconds to claim his 59th career victory.

That’s while the other Italian Dovizioso, ended his day in 3rd with Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales back in 4th. Triple MotoGP champion Horhey Lorenzo also had a strong start, moving up immediately from 5th to first but crashed on the seventh of 28 laps, flipping off the bike at turn six.

Marquez and Dovizioso are now tied on 199 points, with five races remaining.
