Afghanistan marks assassination anniv. of Ahmad Shah Massoud

September nine marks the assassination anniversary of Afghanistan’s national hero Ahmad Shah Madsoud. He was known for his fight against militant groups, al-Qaeda and Taliban. Madsoud was assassinated by al-Qaeda terrorists posing as journalists 16 years ago.
