Macron criticized for selling state assets at too low a price

France’s energy giant Engie is the first company whose stocks were sold off under a privatization plan launched by president Emmanuel Macron. However, the sale has produced value much lower than expected. The government is now facing criticism that its privatization plan would not benefit the country.
