King of Clay Rafael Nadal has booked his spot in the US Open semifinals after overwhelming Andrey Rublev of Russia in straight sets.
The Spaniard, who is a double US Open winner, only needed an hour and 37 minutes to power past the Russian on Wednesday as he won the match 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Nadal will face Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina who defeated Swiss maestro Roger Federer 3-1 in the last quarterfinal match of the tournament.
