Germany have made it seven wins out of seven in Group C of World Cup qualifying with a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in Prague thanks to a late header by Mats Hummels.

It only took the Germans four minutes to get in the lead when Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil sent Timo Werner clear with a precise through-ball, where the forward took his shot to beat the goalie in the bottom-left corner.

The home side were struggling to create a note-worthy chance for the rest of the first half and most of the second. Finally, Vladimir Darida equalized in the 78th minute with a stunning long-range effort.

However, that wasn’t the end of the story, as Hummels powered in a header just two minutes before the final whistle that sealed the 2-1 victory for Germany as they moved a step closer to World Cup qualification.
