Qatar failed to keep their 2018 World Cup hopes alive after loosing 3-1 to Syria.
Omar Khribin gave his side the lead, with a 7th-minute strike. Qatar then leveled the score through midfielder Ali Asadallah.
However, after the restart, the Syrians stepped-up their game, and Khribin made it 2-1, finishing-off a through-ball from a tight angle. Mahmoud Al-Mawas then sealed the deal with a powerful strike in extra time.
