These are the headlines we are tracking for you in this episode of On the News Line:
Israel's endless rights violations
In an incident which could be called one of rarest in history, an Israeli court has ordered residents of a village in Negev to pay the regime for the cost of bulldozing their homes after troops demolished them. Six residents of this village have been asked to pay a total of 541,000 dollars for the cumulative cost of destroying their homes 116 times since 2010. This has been described by observers as chutzpah on the part of Tel Aviv. They say common sense dictates that Israel must be held accountable and pay reparations for what it has done.
Brazil's Workers Party
The political rhetoric in Brazil is heating up. The Workers Party of Brazil has accused the government of President Michel Temer of pushing the country back to the colonial era. The party has also accused the government of the right-wing president of being under the influence of big businesses in Washington. It has also called on all Brazilians to resist the government by all possible means in order to stop the country from further sliding into the hands of capitalists in Washington. The Workers Party of Brazil is the party of former presidents Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff; two leftist politicians who are now in unfavorable political circumstances.
