Manchester City have scored twice in the final 20 minutes, to earn a hard-fought 2-0 win over newly-promoted Brighton, to kick-off their English Premier League campaign with a victory.

The title favorites had dominated possession in the first half, but struggled to break-down a stubborn Brighton defense, with the first half ending goalless.

The sky blues upped the pressure in the second half and Argentinean striker Sergio Aguero opened the scoring for sky blues in the 70th minute. Lewis Dunk then headed Fernandinho's cross into his own net five minutes later, for Pep Guardiola and his men, to take the full three points.
