Iranian sports shooters claim 4th place in Asian Shotgun Championship

Iranian female sports shooters have put an acceptable end to its campaign at the 7th edition of Asian Shotgun Championship in Kazakhstan, and finished fourth at the conclusion of the continental sporting event.

On Tuesday, the Iranian squad, comprised of Marziyeh Parvareshnia, Fatemeh Amiri Behzadi and Ghazaleh Jahandar, took part in women’s trap team competitions in the Kazakh capital city of Astana, and placed fourth in the overall standings with 177 points.

Parvareshnia shot 63 out of 75 to land in the eighth place, while Amiri Behzadi shot 57 to be placed 19th. Jahandar shot 57 to sit in the 27th position.

Shooters from China headed the standings, while North Korean and Kazakh teams finished in the second and third places respectively.

The 7th edition of Asian Shotgun Championship started in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 3 and will finish on August 14, 2017.
