World Number 8 Alexander Zverev of Germany has snatched his 4th title of the year after posting a decisive straight sets victory over Kevin Anderson in the final of the Citi Open in the US capital Washington.

The 20-year-old made light work of his South African opponent on Monday, using dominant serves and playing aggressively throughout the contest.

The rising star made only seven unforced errors and never faced a break point on his way to closing out the match 6-4, 6-4 in just under 70 minutes.

The morale boosting win has been the German’s first ATP title on an outdoor hard court and his 5th career title as he heads into the US Open starting later in August.
