Gropaiz tours France on electric skateboard
A Frenchman has completed his tour of France on an electric skateboard, ending his challenge on the streets of Paris.
Fabrice Gropaiz set off on June 27 for his trip around France, using a modern type of electric skating vehicle. His skateboard has a big battery attached to its underside and he carries a solar panel in his trailer in order to charge the board.
He plans on travelling 25,000 kilometers around the world in two years with his skateboard, starting in the spring of 2018. Twenty years ago, Gropaiz set a record for the first world tour on roller skates. He completed 27,000 kilometers in 28 months.
