Cristiano Ronaldo appears in court on tax fraud charges

Cristiano Ronaldo appears before court.

Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo has testified at the Pozuelo de Alarcon court.

The 32-year-old, who won the Champions League, the Liga title and the Ballon d’Or last year, has been accused of evading 14.7 million Euros in Taxes.

He was in court for around 90 minutes on Monday and declined to speak to the media afterwards.

The Real forward has denied the allegation and says his “Conscience is Clear”. His management team has also denied any wrongdoing. But, if Ronaldo is found guilty of hiding earnings from his image rights between 2011 and 2014, he would face a large fine and a possible custodial sentence.
