Iran archer collects silver medal in 2017 World Games

Iranian archer Esmaeil Ebadi has put in dazzling performances at the 2017 World Games in Poland, and managed to snatch a silver medal at the prestigious event.

On Sunday, the 40-year-old Iranian athlete competed in the final match of the men's individual compound section at Pergola Centennial Hall in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and scored 142 points to finish second.

Stephan Hansen from Denmark received the gold medal with a total score of 146 points. 

The bronze medal went to Croatian contestant Domagoj Buden.

The 2017 World Games, commonly known as Wrocław 2017, kicked off in Wrocław, Poland, on July 20 and wrapped up on July 30. A total of 3,234 athletes from 104 nations participated in the multi-sport tournament.
