Political tensions in Venezuela

The political crisis in Venezuela is getting deeper: The United States is mulling sanctions against the Latin American country.

Washington claims the move is aimed at forcing Caracas to abort plans for a new Congress. Venezuela has been dealing with months of protests and strikes.
