The United Nations Security Council has held a meeting with a spotlight on the recent flare-ups between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Tensions erupted in the occupied territories after Israeli forces placed new restrictive measures on the Palestinians’ entry into the al-Aqsa mosque compound.
