An anti-G20 demonstrator in the German city of Hamburg has challenged a riot police officer to a game of tic-tac-toe drawn on the pavement of a street blocked off by the police.

The officer accepted the challenge and played a round with the protester. Video shows the officer takes crosses and the protester uses adapted naughts depicting the peace symbol.

The result was a tie and ended in a handshake between the protester and the officer.

During the recently-concluded G20 summit in Germany, some 15,000 police were deployed in Hamburg to control anti-capitalist protestors.
