Civilian killings rise as India launches new Kashmir operation

More civilians lost their lives in Indian-controlled Kashmir after the Indian army cordoned a southern village and combed it in search of pro-independence fighters holed up in a house. The Indian forces claim to have killed two fighters, while civilians accuse the army of using villagers as human shields.
