To football news, a stunning header from Mitchell Weiser has seen Germany shock Spain, with a 1-nil victory in the final of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Krakow, Poland.
Germany took a deserved lead in the 40th minute, when a cross from the right by Tol-Yan was followed by a very skillful looping header in front of the near post by Weiser from 8 yards out, stunning the Spanish keeper.
The Spaniards needed a swift response and improved after the break, but Germany almost had a degree of control, performing well throughout the game, and despite giving up possession for large spells, they still held a level of control.
As Spain continued to pile on the pressure, the referee blew the full-time whistle, for the Germans to lift their 1st Euro under-21 trophy since 2009.
