Germany have posted a decisive 4-1 victory over the CONCACAF champions Mexico with the help of a brace from Leon Goretzka, pitting themselves against an already-qualified Chile in the Confederations Cup final.

The world champions couldn’t have asked for a better start as Schalke’s marksman Goretzka swept his side ahead, after striking twice in the first 8 minutes.

The young German outfit showed no signs of slowing down, as Leipzig striker Timo Werner tapped into an empty net from close range to extend their lead just before the hour mark.

Mexicans relentless style began to kick in, but probably a little bit too late when Marco Fabian reduced the deficit with a stunning power drive from distance.

Just a minute later, Amin Younes, added a 4th to round off a 4-1 win for the world champions. Manager Joachim Low's will now place against Chile in Sunday’s St. Petersburg final.

The South American champions beat Portugal 3-0 on penalties in the Semifinal on Wednesday.
