Mike Harris, editor of Veterans Today, believes US sanctions against Russia over its alleged complicity in the Ukraine crisis are an attempt to “scapegoat” Moscow into taking the blame for the "aggressive moves" Washington has made in the war-torn country.

“In Ukraine, it was the US …, [former] deputy secretary of state Victoria Nuland stated publicly that she spent $5 billion to bring down the [Viktor] Yanukovych regime and to replace it with the [Petro] Poroshenko regime. That was a US action. They know what they have done. They are trying to deflect the blame from themselves and try to scapegoat Russia,” Harris told Press TV on Wednesday.
