Crosswalk created for gophers in Russia
A tiny crosswalk for gophers has been created by Russian activists in Kras-noyarsk. Now the creatures can safely cross the street in the area. The crossing has been made with a special road sign and traffic lights. The area has been known as the 'glade of gophers,' with almost 5-thousand of them claiming it home over the past few years.
The activists say they set up the crosswalk to call on Kras-noyarsk residents to take care of the rodents living in the area. The creative work is done ahead of the Green Festival, which will take place in the city next week. The festival is an annual event devoted to outdoor leisure activities, which attracts thousands of local residents every year.
