The Golden State Warriors have clinched the NBA championship. The Warriors capped a near-perfect post-season Run by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 in Game 5 of the Finals, to win their second NBA Title in three years.

The Warriors headed into Game 5 on Monday-night leading the series 3-1.

They were looking to avoid a repeat of last year's Finals, when they lost to the Cavaliers after blowing a 3-1 series lead, and they managed to do that thanks to a remarkable team effort.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Warriors with 39 points, while LeBron James had a game-high of 41 points for the Cavs, whose defensive breakdowns late in the game, led to easy baskets for the Warriors.
