Venezuela’s electoral authority has set a date for the National Constituent Assembly elections. Once formed, the assembly will have the power to rewrite Venezuela’s constitution. The opposition is, however, against the government’s proposal for a new constitution. Opposition groups have accused President Nicolas Maduro of seeking to change electoral laws ahead of the 2018 presidential race. From Caracas, Press TV correspondent Jesus Silva has sent this report.
