Iran’s Jamshidkhani draws awe in Baku CSI 2 horse race

Iranian jockey Maziyar Jamshidkhani has featured a marvelous performance at the CSI2*-W Heydar Aliyev Cup 2017 in Azerbaijan, and deservedly picked up the trophy at the international tournament.

On Sunday, Jamshidkhani took part in the speed clash with barrage finale at 145cm, and could outdo opponents with a horse by the name of Viymor to be awarded the top prize at the newly-constructed Buta Gold Equestrian Club in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, the Equestrian Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran website reported.

The CSI2*-W Heydar Aliyev Cup 2017 started in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 2 and concluded on June 4, 2017.

Riders and horses from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Luxembourg, Russia and Turkey participated in the three-day competition. Total prize money of the event was 78,800 Azerbaijani mantas ($46,444).

Three other Iranian riders, namely Mohammad Mehdi Sotoudeh, Ehsan Hashemi and Mousa Daneshi also attended Baku horse riding competitions.
