Iran’s Jamshidkhani has 3rd-place finish in Baku CSI 2 horse race

Iranian horse jockey Maziyar Jamshidkhani has made a rather strong showing at the CSI2*-W Heydar Aliyev Cup 2017 in Azerbaijan, and had a third-place finish in the international tournament.

On Saturday, Jamshidkhani fought a close battle in the 145cm class, where 21 other trotters from the host nation, Belarus, Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey were also in attendance.

The Iranian horseman was able to pick up a third-place finish at last.

The CSI2*-W Heydar Aliyev Cup 2017 started in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 2 and will conclude on June 4, 2017.

Riders and horses from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Luxembourg, Russia and Turkey are vying for top honors during the three-day competition. Total prize money of the event is 78,800 Azerbaijani mantas ($46,444).

Three other Iranian riders, namely Mohammad Mehdi Sotoudeh, Ehsan Hashemi and Mousa Daneshi are also participating in Baku horse riding competitions.
