Chelsea have clinched the 2016-17 Premier League title, thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over their hosts West Brom at the Hawthorns.

The Blues needed the three points to see them crowned champions for the second time in three seasons and they threw everything at the home side to make sure it would be a weekend of celebration.

But the visitors faced over 80 minutes of stubborn resistance from West Brom before Belgian marksman Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to break the deadlock, scoring the title-winning goal just eight minutes from time.

This has been the fifth time the West Londoners have claimed the Premier League, but the mission is yet to be accomplished for Conte’s men as they hope to notch up the double when his side lock horns with Arsenal in the FA Cup final on May 27th.
