Millions celebrate birth of Imam Mahdi in Iraq

Muslims across the world are celebrating the birth of the twelfth Shia Imam, Imam Mahdi, the great grandson of the Prophet of Islam. The Imam is regarded as the Messianic figure who will return once the world is about to be totally overcome by tyranny, with his mission being emancipating it from evil. Altaf Ahmad has this report from the Iraqi city of Samarra.
