'Mother Of Orphans' has raised over 1,400 kids
While some people don’t enjoy the idea of raising kids, this Indian mother is quite the opposite. She has an extraordinary love for children. So much so that she has raised more than 1,400 abandoned kids, offering them not just food and shelter, but also the love of a real family.
Known as “Mother of Orphans”, Sindhutai Sapkal has devoted over 40-years of her life to take care of these children.
Now, the 68-year-old runs 4 orphanages in her hometown of Pune, 2 for girls and 2 for boys. Despite only having a basic level of schooling herself, Sapkal has always maintained to the importance of education for the kids she raises and many have gone on to become lawyers, doctors and engineers.
Unlike conventional orphanages, the children don’t have to leave when they reach 18. Instead, they stay until they get a job or get married.
