In the English Premier League, Arsenal have ended Manchester United's 25-match unbeaten run by defeating the Red Devils 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

After a goalless first half, the Gunners finally broke the deadlock after the break through Granit Xhaka. The Swiss international unleashed a powerful shot from 30 yards out that hit the back of Herrera before flying over the keeper to make it 1-0.

A few minutes later, the hosts found their second when Danny Welbeck bulleted a header past the keeper following a great cross from Chamberlain. 2-0 the final score and with the win, the North Londoners kept up their hopes of securing a place in the top four alive.
