The Boston Celtics have defeated the Washington Wizards 129-109 at TD Garden, to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

On Tuesday night, the Wizards were the better side of the match which led to a 42-29 victory for them at the end of the first quarter and although they lost the second quarter, the Wizards went to the locker rooms with a 67-64 lead at the end of the first half.

The visitors narrowly won the third quarter, but once again the Celtics dominated in the fourth frame. The game then went into overtime tied at 114-114, which ended with a 10 points victory for the Celtics.

Isaiah Thomas grabbed 53 points for the Celtics while John Wall scored 40 points for the Wizards. Game 3 will be held in Washington on Thursday.
