The Nashville Predators have edged past the St. Louis Blues 2-1, to take a 3-1 lead in the NHL playoff series.

The game was scoreless after two periods at the Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night. Defenseman Ryan Ellis scored his 4th goal of the playoffs and opened the score sheet for the hosts five minutes after the beginning of the final period.

Nearly ten minutes later James Neal gave the Predators a 2-0 lead. Joel Edmundson cut the Blues' deficit in half after he scored with four minutes left in the game.

The Blues could not come up with the equalizer and finally Nashville won the game. St. Louis will host Game 5 on Friday.
