Paolo Raffone, secretary general of the CIPI Foundation, says, “These [Astana] talks are important because of the communication between the US and Russia” and high level presence of the US together with the UN.

“The possibility that there is an agreement between the three major countries ... Russia, Iran and Turkey with the US on how to go on for political settlement [is] higher than in the past,” Raffone told Press TV on Wednesday.
