International event brings latest of technology to China
Over 900 technology enterprises and institutions from more than 20 countries have come to China to showcase their latest achievements.
The International Technology Fair makes the 5th of its kind and is held in Shanghai. One of the highlights of the fair is an audio meeting system.
It uses world-class voice recognition technology to convert speech into text and display it on screen, with an accuracy of over 95 percent.
Developed by a Chinese manufacturer, the system can also translate the native language output into English before turning it into text.
Another remarkable technology is a robot waiter that can achieve real-time positioning thanks to a high-end sensor that developers say is both affordable and efficient.
A number of Chinese companies also brought to the show their pioneering technologies in the medical field. One of these cutting-edge products was a patented surgical stapler which enables doctors to cut a tumor and stitch the wound with a single hand.
