NHL Playoffs: Predators thrash Blackhawks 4-1

The Nashville Predators have thrashed the visiting Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 at the Bridgestone Arena to complete a 4-0 sweep in the first round of the NHL playoffs.

Goals by Roman Josi and Colton Sissons gave the Predators a comfortable 2-0 lead. Josi then made it 3-0 for the hosts by scoring his second of the match on a wrist-shot in the third period. Jonathan Bryan Toews pulled one back with a power-play goal for Chicago in the same frame.

Viktor Arvidsson capped off the sweep with an empty-netter that sealed the game at 4-1 and the series at 4-0.
