The UEFA Champions League trophy arrived in Cardiff on Friday as part of a tour of Wales ahead of this year's Champions League final on the 3rd of June.

Wales' all-time top scorer Ian Rush had the honor of carrying the trophy off the plane at Cardiff airport.
Rush, who's an ambassador for this year's final, then took the trophy through the airport where excited children were given their chance to touch the coveted silverware.

From there, it was to Cardiff Castle and the start of a parade through the streets to the National Stadium of Wales, where June's final will take place.

The Women's Champions League final will also be played in Cardiff on the 1st of June, and the women's trophy was carried by Wales Women's national team manager Jayne Ludlow.

Crowds gathered on the route as the trophies made their way to their final destination. Many people in Wales will be hoping Real Madrid make it to the final as they have Welsh star Gareth Bale among their players. Rush himself has won the UEFA Champions League twice at Liverpool.
