Atletico Madrid have progressed into the semis of the UEFA Champions League following a 1-all away draw and a 2-1 aggregate win against the English Premier League Champions Leicester City.

The Foxes trailed 1-nil heading into Tuesday's encounter and desperately needed to get off to a good start to reach the semis.

However, it was the visitors who silenced the home crowd when defender Filipe Luis found Saul Niguez at the back post and the Spanish midfielder planted a brilliant header into the far corner to make it 1-nil.

The hosts threw everything they had at Diego Simeone's men after the break as they needed 3 goals to remain in this tie.

But Craig Shakespeare's lads couldn’t do any better than leveling things up, through a close range effort from England international Jamie Vardy just after the hour mark.
