In the English Premier league, Liverpool have stayed on course for a top-four finish following a 1-0 win over West Bromwich at the Hawthorns stadium.

The Merseyside Reds managed to take lead in the first-half stoppage time when Roberto Firmino headed home a free kick to register his 11th Premier League goal of the season and hand his side the crucial victory.

The final score 1-0 and with the triumph, Liverpool moved back above Manchester City into third place in the Premier League standings.
