In the NHL, the Montreal Canadiens have edged past the New York Rangers 4-3 in overtime at the Bell Center in the Stanley Cup Playoffs series.

On Friday, Jeff Petry opened the score-sheet for the hosts four minutes into the first period. Austrian Michael Grabner equalized for the Rangers.

And one minute later Paul Byron took the lead for the Canadiens at 2-1. The Rangers were dominant in the second period and scored twice.

Tomas Plekanech scored with 18 seconds left in the final period and Alexander Radulov scored just seconds before overtime, to give the Canadiens a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Rangers. The win tied the best-of-seven series at one game apiece.
