Iran hosts first international Marathon

Tehran's very first international marathon nicknamed “Persian Run” has concluded!

On Friday, more than 600 runners from over 40 countries, including Britain, Canada, the US and Saudi Arabia took part in the event.

The course took runners from the Azadi Sports Complex through Azadi Square in the western part of the Iranian capital.

Hassan Keihani came first in the 10 kilometer race, Mohammad Barzi won the 21 Kilometer race and Iran’s Marathon runner Mohammad Ja'afar Moradi crossed the finish line ahead of the other competitors in the 42 kilometer run.
