In South Korea, rival demonstrations regarding the policies and fate of former president Park Geun-hye have been held in the capital, Seoul. Park's supporters demand her release from detention as prosecutors prepare to indict her on corruption charges. Anti-Park rallies seek to reverse her policies, including the decision to deploy an advanced US missile system to South Korea. They also want the truth about the 2014 Sewol Ferry disaster.
